First to explain why I write this essay. I have been gambling on the net or at land-based casinos for many years. I have discovered, the dependency can take a hold of you and you will not even realize it up until you are penniless. Especially if you are on a winning streak. I have gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in a very short amount of time and to this day on occasion, I will go a bit too far. It seems you’re just having a blast until you decide to be aware of your defeats and the guilt settles in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can earn it back" constantly. It doesn’t works. Then you feel queasy in your stomach and the more you attempt the faster you lose.
When you see that you’re up, remain on the UP! When you start to lose, don’t say to yourself, "well perhaps one more" and again and again, trust me, this logic almost never ever works. Say you are playing on slots, have a bankroll set to the side before starting your play. DO NOT go over that limit, regardless how tempting. If you actually succeed, put that in a different pot. Don’t risk your wins no matter what. Once you have gambled through your original set limit, bail out. Leave, regardless if it is on the internet or at a land based casino, do not stick around. Always remember, there will be a different day, another time.
Remember, wagering is assumed to be exciting not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you do not belong there. If youcannot manage the cost, don’t even start.
